[EN] According to the DocEnCourts jury, "Bustarenga" is "a beautiful film about the great question of love, portrayed with tenderness but also with a distant humor that evokes that of Luc Moullet for the way the filmmaker addresses himself with intelligence and distance. At the center of the film there’s a serious theme lightly represented, which brings all the contemporary modernity of encounters to the era of social media in a village with almost archaic customs. A beautiful editing work that builds the film as a ballad on the theme of Prince Charming, where words and looks always respond to each other at the right distance".

[EN] "Playful and never banal reflection on love and on the social construction of gender roles, of masculinity and femininity. The director has the ability to weave a personal and sociological story at the same time, within which she can fully get involved in first person, thematizing her relationship with a culture and a tradition she is both daughter and witness. The result is a choral story animated by significantly genuine, open and vital portraits of a rural world presented without idealizations or myths."

Family Film Project / Archive, Memory and Ethnography — Best short Film

[EN] "For the way in which the director presents us with fascinating characters, for her humor - and for offering us such a rich portrait of a family nucleus from a point of view that is both foreign and belonging. Because of the way the director participates in the film to dialogue with these characters, always looking them in the face and never from above. “Bustarenga” is a beautiful film that gives us a lot."

Vista Curta Festival — Jury Award on the local competition
